The Canucks didn't bottom out, they imploded. The J.T. Miller trade to the Rangers fractured the locker room and Quinn Hughes was eventually shipped to Minnesota where he's been a point-per-game player, leaving Elias Pettersson, bottom-three goaltending, and the Aquilini ownership group, who have overseen one of the most dysfunctional decades in the league with no plan beyond hoping the next GM cleans up their mess. The only real hope left is winning the lottery for the 1st overall pick and Gavin McKenna.
