Jake Sanderson and Tim Stutzle headline the build now, Sanderson posting elite defensive metrics as a true #1 D and Stutzle driving the top-six. Trading captain Brady Tkachuk to Florida cashed in for a draft haul of three 2026 first-round picks (including Florida's #9 and #25), a 2029 first, and a 2030 second. Linus Ullmark gave the Sens just enough between the pipes and they still rank top-10 in expected goals against per 60. The window is open around the Sanderson-Stutzle core; the work now is turning that Tkachuk return into their supporting cast.
