Dallas finished second in the West behind a balanced roster led by Jason Robertson, Wyatt Johnston's continued ascent, and a healthy Miro Heiskanen. Mikko Rantanen's first full year in Texas paid off, settling onto the top line alongside Robertson and Roope Hintz to form one of the most dangerous trios in the league after last spring's chaotic mid-season trade saga finally landed him in green. Jamie Benn crossed 400 career goals, capping a likely-Hall-of-Fame career as the captain. New head coach Glen Gulutzan inherited the most complete top-to-bottom roster Dallas has had in years, and Jake Oettinger had another elite year between the pipes.
